Washington High School graduate lived in Franklin
Lawrence A. Myers Jr., 74, of Franklin, died Monday, November 2, 1998.

Born December 7, 1923, in Rennerdale, he was a son of Lawrence and Myrabelle Myers.
Mr. Myers was a 1942 graduate of Washington High School.
He served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps in the Pacific Theater, where he worked on early radar units.
After military service, he attended Pennsylvania State University, where he received a bachelor of science degree in agriculture engineering.
Mr. Myers was also an active member of First United Methodist Church in Franklin.
On September 7, 1951, he married Barbara King, who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Patricia Myers of Weare, N.H., the Rev. Byron K. Myers, and Susan Sharra of Cucamonga, Calif.; three grandchildren, Lauren E. Myers and Anthony and Victoria Sharra; two brothers, Alfred Myers of Salisbury, Md., and Franklin Myers of St. Genevieve, Mo.; a sister, Nancy Tolan of Salisbury; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Harry Myers and John P. Myers, who was formerly of Washington.
Services were held November 6, with burial in Emlenton Pennsylvania Cemetery.
