Sophie Mae Vance, 85, of Carmichaels, formerly of Marianna, died Wednesday, November 11, 1998, in Washington Hospital. Mrs. Vance attended Clarksville School and was a homemaker. On August 30, 1952, she married Chester Vance, who survives. Also surviving are two sisters, Josephine Good of Ruff Creek and Marge Hartley of California; and several nieces and nephews.
