Lydia G. Poellot, 88, of McMurray, died at 10:19 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 1998, in her home. Mrs. Poellot lived her life in the Canonsburg and McMurray areas, where she was a member of St. Benedict the Abbott Church of McMurray. She enjoyed her home and spending time with her family. On October 25, 1934, she married William N. Poellot, who died October 20, 1974. Surviving are a son, William N. Poellot of Pittsburgh; two daughters, Margaret E. Ritz of Greensburg and Marianne P. Cowling of Carlisle; two brothers, Paul B. Gress of Edinboro and Matthew J. Gress of Fort Collins, Colo.; a sister, Mary Seman of North East; eight grandchildren, David Ritz, Maria Bartifay, Christine Robinson, Allen Ritz, James Poellot, Melinda Harkiewicz, Jennifer Poellot and Brian Cowling; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
