Willis Stanley Hixenbaugh, 83, of 122 Railroad Street, Bentleyville, formerly of Greene County, died at 1:15 a.m. Sunday, November 15, 1998, in Allegheny University Hospitals-Canonsburg. He was employed for 30 years as a pipeline walker for Peoples Natural Gas Co. of Monongahela until his retirement January 1, 1978. Surviving are his wife, Sadie E. Hixenbaugh, whom he married August 7, 1939; two daughters, Julia E. Berardinelli of Woodstock, Md., and Tammy Hixenbaugh of Bentleyville; two sons, Cecil W. Hixenbaugh of Eastlake, Ohio, and Ronald J. Hixenbaugh of Bentleyville; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Hixenbaugh was the last of his immediate family. Deceased are three sons, Minor Henry Hixenbaugh, Willis S. Hixenbaugh Jr. and a son who died in infancy; five brothers, Dorsey Leroy, Carl Dean, Russell Lawrence and Floyd Hixenbaugh, and Hagan Hixenbaugh, who died in infancy; and a sister, Artie Mae Burnfield.
