Irene Stellavato DeRose, 92, formerly of Mill Street, Washington, died at 5:50 a.m. Monday, November 16, 1998, in Washington Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Mrs. DeRose was a homemaker. She was a 1922 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. She was formerly employed by Sidway Topland Toy Manufacturing as a secretary. On November 11, 1925, she married Charles DeRose, who died May 7, 1986. Surviving are three sons, Francis A. DeRose of Washington, Ret. Lt. Col. Charles N. DeRose Jr. of Springfield, Va., and Robert E. DeRose of Cokeburg; a brother, Albert J. Stellavato of Washington; seven grandchildren, Kevin, Jeffrey, Craig, Mark, Eric, Robert II and Joseph DeRose; and six great-grandchildren. Deceased are four sisters, Angeline Stellavato, Emily Roth, Mary Faiella and Elvie Vitus; and five brothers, James, Frank, Anthony and Alfred Stellavato and Melvin Stell.
