Ruth H. Boswell, 96, of Thomas Campbell Apartments, Washington, died at 7:35 a.m. Tuesday, November 17, 1998, in Washington County Health Center, Washington.

She was born September 1, 1902, in Washington, a daughter of William H. and Harriet Ford Boone.
Mrs. Boswell was educated in Washington School District and graduated from Duffs-Iron City Business College in Pittsburgh.
She was an 80-year member of First United Presbyterian Church of Washington, and was a member of the church's Ladies Aid and Women's Federation. She also was a 60-year member of Lincoln Chapter 112, and a member of Eastern Star.
On August 17, 1925, she married, Robert J. Boswell, who died August 29, 1968.
Surviving are two sons, Robert J. Boswell of Lititz and James B. Boswell of Greensburg; a daughter, Peggy B. Hutchinson of Washington; a sister, Ethel B. Stedman of Washington; four grandchildren, James Boswell, Elizabeth Ann Hershey, Barbara J. Brunner and Judith L. Pacek; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, William H. Boone and Colin B. Schreiber; and a sister, Dorothy B. Lucas.
