Charles Osoba, 74, of Eighty Four, North Bethlehem Township, died Saturday, October 31, 1998, in Manor Care Health Services, McMurray. He attended Ellsworth High School. In 1985, he retired from Beth Energy Mine No. 60, Somerset Township, where he had worked as a motorman. Mr. Osoba was a veteran of World War II, who served with the U.S. Army and received the Purple Heart. On June 10, 1963, in Bay Shore, Long Island, he married Doris Cunnius, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Arthur Brown of Venetia; three brothers, Edward Osoba of Livonia, Mich., Rudy Osoba of Pearl, Texas, and George Osoba of St. Clair Shores, Mich.; three sisters, Rose Kusman of Ellsworth, Helen Frost of St. Clair Shores, and Josephine Couwlier of Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich.; three grandchildren, Jack, Jason and Erica Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
