Janice Ruth LaVelle, 73, of Washington, died at 1:45 p.m. Friday, November 20, 1998, in Humbert Lane Health Care Center, Washington, following an 18-month illness. Mrs. LaVelle was a member of Friendship Community Church During World War II, she was employed by Dravo Corp. and later was employed by Tygart Valley Glass Co. She was involved with the mallwalkers at Franklin Mall. On October 7, 1950, she married Raymond Wilbert LaVelle, who died January 5, 1992. Surviving are two sons, Richard R. LaVelle of Washington and Gary Martin LaVelle of Savage, Md.; a brother, LeRoy Hammett of Amity; and a sister, Norma Carroll of Ninevah.
