Winona K. Strickler, 86, of Jefferson R.D.1, died Monday, November 23, 1998, in Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg. She had formerly lived in Hyattsville, Md., and had moved back to Jefferson in 1971. Mrs. Strickler graduated from West Virginia University in 1933 and was an elementary school teacher in Morgantown, W.Va., and Hyattsville area schools. She was a member of the National Education Association and the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Carmichaels. Mrs. Strickler was married to Wilbur G. Strickler, who died August 15, 1977. Surviving are two daughters, Lois John of Rivesville, W.Va., and Mary Butler of Salisbury, Md.; three sons, Wilbur R. Strickler of Salisbury, Paul T. Strickler of St. Johns, Mich., and Dorsey N. Strickler of Hyattsville; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Darlie Ruth Wilkins of Pacific Palisades, Calif. A sister, Arlice V. Keck, is deceased.
