Robert T. Dillon Sr., 75, of McDonald, died Sunday, November 22, 1998, in Ohio Valley Hospital, McKees Rocks. Mr. Dillon was a 1942 graduate of McDonald High School and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a dispatcher for the state Department of Transportation for 25, retiring in 1985. He worked for the Pittsburgh Coal Co. and was a part-time McDonald policeman in the 1950s. Mr. Dillon was past president of McDonald Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the Democratic Party and American Legion Post 485 of McDonald. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and as a hobby raised canaries and parakeets. On October 5, 1944, he married Jean Hayes, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Robert T. Dillon Jr. of Oakdale; a daughter, Sherry L. Dillon of McDonald; and a grandson, Joshua D. Dillon. Deceased are a brother, Edmond Dillon; and a sister, Lucy Felton.
