Edward E. Walchock, 79, of East Millsboro, died Friday, November 27, 1998, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. Mr. Walchock retired from Luzerne Coal Co., formerly of East Millsboro and had worked for more than 40 years as a mechanic in the Isabella and Gateway mines. He was a member of UMWA District 2. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Jane E. Baily Walchock; a son, Bill of East Millsboro; two brothers, George of Newell and Jerome of the state of Michigan; four sisters, Evelyn Anders of Ohio, Matilda Ross and Ruth Glasso of the state of Indiana and Robert Advent of Masontown; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two daughters, Beverly Jane Walchock and Virginia Maust; a son, Dale Edward Walchock; and several siblings.
