John Leonard Wagers, 67, of Parkview Drive, Washington, died at 12:55 p.m. Monday, November 2, 1998, in his home. He was a 1949 graduate of Washington High School and served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater during the Korean War. Mr. Wagers was employed by Bell Telephone for 43 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Edwin Scott Linton American Legion Post 175, a social member of Alpine Star Lodge No. 9 and a member of Bell Telephone Pioneers. On June 29, 1955, he married Dolores Constance Pearson, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Kevin John Wagers of Racine, Wis., and Dr. Scott Stanley Wagers of Burlington, Vt.; his twin brother, Henry W. Wagers of Washington; a sister, Ethel Jacobs of Coraopolis; and two grandsons, Brian Michael and Eric John Wagers.
