J. Raymond Filbey, 87, of Jefferson R.D.1, died at 6 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 1998, in Bialko's Rest Home, Waynesburg. Mr. Filbey lived all his life in Greene County and was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army. He was a retired employee of Columbia Gas Co. in the Masontown and West Brownsville areas. On December 7, 1956, he married Goldie Dunn, who died October 5, 1998. Surviving are nine grandchildren, Edward Allan, William Gary, Richard Lynn, Clarence Edward Jr. and Charles Barry Zollars, Barbara Diana Taylor-Wahter, Karen Sue Heidinger, Deborah Ellen Arnold and Cathy Michelle Rudisill; nine great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
