William R. "Yuta" Baumgardner Jr., 61, of Valley Inn, Monongahela, died unexpectedly Friday, November 27, 1998, at his farm in Somerset County. Mr. Baumgardner was a 1954 graduate of Monongahela High School and attended Penn State University, McKeesport campus, majoring in business administration. He was employed for 25 years for Equitable Gas Co., Ginger Hill, where he worked as a safety inspector. Mr. Baumgardner was a past president and a board member for Ringgold School Board for more than 12 years. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and a member of Henry M. Phillips Lodge 337, F&AM, both of Monongahela. Surviving is his wife, Frances M. Carden Baumgardner, with whom he celebrated 42 years of marriage on May 24. Also surviving are two sons, Gary Baumgardner of Finleyville and Kenneth Baumgardner of Valley Inn; three grandchildren, Kristy, Rachel and Autumn Baumgardner; and a sister, Mary Sue Sirilla of New Eagle.
