Charles "Ed" McCune Sr., 60, of Voyager Estates, West Newton, died Saturday, November 28, 1998, in St. Francis Medical Center, Pittsburgh. Mr. McCune was Catholic and a former resident of McKeesport. At the time of his death, he was employed as a driver for Blaney Farms Trucking Inc. of Perryopolis and was formerly employed by Stag Construction of Belle Vernon and Pittsburgh Flexicore of Monongahela. He served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper during peacetime. Surviving are his wife, Paula Kiefer Homler McCune; two sons, Harold L. Homler of Canonsburg and Charles E. McCune Jr. of McKeesport; a daughter, Amy R. Homler of Daisytown; two stepdaughters, Leanne Thomas and Pamela Dukic, both of McKeesport; two grandchildren, Mallory Bradley and Patyn McCune; a sister, Arlene Hartman of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.
