Dorothy Jean Berg, 67, of Washington, died at 3 p.m. Monday, November 2, 1998, in Washington Hospital following a two-year illness. Mrs. Berg was Presbyterian. She attended Canonsburg schools, and had been employed for 18 years as a supervisor at Bobbie Brooks. She was last employed by Paradise Candy Shop. Mrs. Berg was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society in the Relay for Life and was an election poll worker for years. On February 28, 1948, she married George William "Bill" Berg, who died January 16, 1992. Surviving are two sons, William J. Berg of Washington and David E. Berg of Washington; two daughters, Linda Engle of Albany, Ind., and Diane Dombrowski of Avella; four sisters, Lillian Inverso of Washington, Margaret Frank of Washington, Priscilla Cantrell of Washington and Lydia Vinosky of Ft. Myers, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Harry Engle, Mike Engle, Shawn Engle, Cyndi Engle, Stephen Berg, Jonathan Berg, Justin Berg and Sarah Dombrowski; and seven great-grandchildren.
