Sophie Dzikowicz (Jackson) Matyuf, 92, of 123 White Way, Canonsburg, died at 10:25 p.m. Monday, November 2, 1998. Mrs. Matyuf was a lifelong resident of Canonsburg, where she was a member of St. John's Russian Orthodox Church and its Ladies Altar Society. She was a member of Greater Canonsburg Senior Citizens. She also was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling. Her husband, Peter Matyuf, died February 6, 1983. Surviving are four daughters, Dorothy Sedlak of Parma, Ohio, Mary Ann Zupancic and Loretta Matyuf, both of Canonsburg, and Dolores Schinosi of South Park; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Deceased are three brothers, Adam, Anthony and John Jackson; and two sisters, Katherine Jackson and Helen Urbanic. Mrs. Matyuf was the last of her immediate family.
