Margaret Elizabeth Kerfonta, 80, of Chess Street, Monongahela, died Thursday, November 5, 1998, in her residence. Mrs. Kerfonta lived most of her life in Monongahela, where she was a member of Transfiguration Church. Surviving are six daughters, Bernadette Hamilton of Waynesburg, Rita A. Beckinger of Monongahela, Julie Trinkala of Charleroi, Mary Jane Dell of West Elizabeth, Harriet Kiefer of Monessen and Margaret Martin of Cleveland, Ohio; three sons, Anthony of Charleroi, Michael of Elizabeth and Alfred Kerfonta of Finleyville; 24 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ethel Geisler of Akron, Ohio, and Katherine Paulick of Berea, Ohio. Deceased are her husband, Anthony Gus Kerfonta, who died December 6, 1982; and two stepbrothers, Sherwood and Leonard Teets.
