Joseph R. Crowell Jr., 53, of Claysville, died Sunday, November 8, 1998, at the VA Medical Center, Aspinwall. He was employed by Neville Chemical Co., Neville Island. Mr. Crowell was a member of the American Legion in Erie, and he was Catholic. Surviving are four sons, Joseph R. Crowell III of Minneola, Fla., Mark L. Crowell of Claysville, and Michael A. Crowell and Anthony T. Crowell, both of Buchanon, W.Va.; a daughter, Sherry M. Crowell of Westland; four sisters, Christina Bloom of Sheraden, Mary Ann Kohler and Patricia Friend, both of McKees Rocks, and Suzanne Mixter of Crafton; two brothers, Harry Crowell of Triadelphia, W.Va., and William Crowell of Imperial; and a granddaughter, Natoria Crowell.
