John H. Thomas, 72, of Newtown, Dilliner, died Friday, November 6, 1998, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va. He was a retired miner from Bobtown Mine and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Thomas was a member of United Mine Workers of America, and he was Catholic. Surviving are two sisters, Mary Belle "Bebe" Roebuck of Bobtown and Marge Kurilko of Cape Coral, Fla. A sister, Virginia Kurilko, is deceased.
