Donald J. Huggins, 79, of Chandler, Ariz., formerly of Seaford, Del., died July 24, 1998, in Chandler. He resided in Seaford for 32 years before moving to Chandler in October 1997. He retired from DuPont in 1980 after 39 years. A World War II veteran with the U.S. Marine Corps, and was awarded the Purple Heart. Mr. Huggins was a Mason for 60 years and served on the board of directors at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Goldie Wilson Huggins; a daughter, Karen Brittingham of Chandler; a son, Roger of Philadelphia; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Opal Reeves of Canonsburg, Elva Phillips of McClellandtown and Betty Henrish of Crucile; and a brother, Floyd Huggins of Connellsville. Deceased are two brothers, Raymond and Wayne; and a sister, Maxine Janesko. A service was held in Chandler, with interment in Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, Ariz.
