Wayne H. Carroll

Former Beth-Center employee was Navy veteran
Wayne H. "Beans" Carroll, 70, of Richeyville, formerly of Beallsville, died at 1:17 a.m. Friday, October 9, 1998, in Washington Hospital.

He was born November 13, 1927, in Beallsville, a son of Hobart M. and Lillian Amos Carroll.
Mr. Carroll served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He retired from Bethlehem-Center School District after 12 years of service.
Mr. Carroll attended Beallsville United Methodist Church and was a member of American Legion Hancock-McCune-Horne Post 705 and the Miners Club of Richeyville.
His wife, Bessie Benner Carroll, died October 21, 1992.
Surviving are two daughters, Shirley Carroll Long and Cathy Carroll Gray, both of Beallsville; four sons, Kenneth D. of Beallsville, David A. of Bentleyville, Ronald M. of Washington and Gary F. of Richeyville; two sisters, Jean Beyer of Highgate Center, Vt., and Jessie "Sis" Ward of Alabama; five brothers, Floyd M. of Enfield, Conn., Paul of New Salem, Marion "Pete" of Beallsville, Melvin "Dick" of Daisytown and Earl of Windsor Locks, Conn.; 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Robert W. and Kevin T. Carroll; a daughter, Christine D. Carroll, who died in infancy; and a brother, Willis Carroll.
His companion and caregiver, Julie Logan, is of Richeyville.
