Rose D. Shurgott Boback, 85, of Monongahela, died Sunday, October 11, 1998, in Mrs. G's Personal Care Home, Monongahela. Mrs. Boback was a member of Transfiguration Church, where she was formerly employed as a convent housekeeper and cook for many years. She formerly bowled in leagues at Spare Time Lanes in Monongahela. Surviving are a son, John Shurgott of the state of California; two grandchildren; a brother, Frank Cekus of Webster; a sister, Margaret K. Podroskey of Monongahela; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are her first husband, John Shurgott; her second husband, Andrew "Bob" Boback; four sisters, Helen Beato, Mary Fritch Kohut, Ann O'Lenic and Victoria Williams; and four brothers, Andy, John, Joe and Bill Cekus.
