Canonsburg grocer and investor
Frank F. Rodighiero, 92, of Fulton Road, Canonsburg, died Friday, October 9, 1998, in Allegheny University Hospitals-Canonsburg.

He was born October 18, 1906, in Conco, Provincia DiVencenza, Italy. He came to the U.S. at age 7 to join his parents in Colliers, W.Va.
Mr. Rodighiero was a member of St. Patrick Worship Site of St. Patrick Parish, Canonsburg, where he was a member of the Catholic Men's Club and was an usher for more than 35 years.
He was a member of Eagles Lodge and the Canonsburg Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Rodighiero was a retired grocer and real estate investor. He opened his first grocery store in Colliers in 1928. His second store followed in Weirton, W.Va., in 1929.
After the Depression, he came to Canonsburg and opened The Tiny Store, which was originally at West Pike Street and Strabane Avenue. He built the present store in 1947.
Mr. Rodighiero had sponsored many sporting teams in Canonsburg and was a member of the steering committee that formed the Canonsburg Senior Citizens Center, which was first located in the Central Avenue Presbyterian Church.
His wife, Irene Velluti, died August 29, 1995.
Surviving are two daughters, Sylvia DeFilippo of Canonsburg and Joan Prince of Lake Worth, Fla.; four grandchildren, Frank Prince, Joseph M. DeFilippo, Kim Patterson and Amanda DeFilippo; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Virginia DelPup of Valley Cottage, N.Y.
Deceased are a grandchild, Ianne DeFilippo; a brother, Americo Petty; and three sisters, Angeline Stone, Alice Malesardi and Judy Reitter.
