Jane M. Crothers, 87, of Friendship Village, Upper St. Clair, formerly of Washington, died Saturday, October 10, 1998, in St. Clair Memorial Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Washington and was a graduate of Washington Seminary. Prior to her retirement, she was the secretary/treasurer of the R.G. Johnson Co. Surviving are a brother, Charles J. Crothers of Friendship Village, Upper St. Clair; two sisters, Virginia C. Johnson of Friendship Village and Martha E. "Becky" Knowland of Bennington, Vt.; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and a great-great-niece. A brother, Robert W. Crothers, is deceased. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at Friendship Village at a time to be announced. Memorial contributions may be made to the Music Fund, in care of First Presbyterian Church, 100 East Wheeling Street, Washington, PA 15301, or to the charity of one's choice. She was born January 12, 1911, in Taylorstown, a daughter of Charles E. and Mary W. Waugh Crothers.
