Joel Edward Stenson, 77, of Pike Run Drive, Daisytown, died Sunday, October 11, 1998, in Brownsville General Hospital. Mr. Stenson retired as a coal miner from Crescent Hills Coal Co. and was last employed by Albert's Packing Co., Washington. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Daisytown, Peter J. McKean Veterans of Foreign Wars, Daisytown, Centerville American Legion, United Mine Workers of America and Daisytown Athletic Club. Surviving are two sons, William J. and John A. Stenson, both of Daisytown; three grandchildren, Andre, Linda and Dana Stenson; and a brother, George Stenson of Abescon, N.J. His wife, Mary Melinsky Stenson, died November 5, 1997.
