Janet D. Logue, 83, of East Finley Drive, Claysville, East Finley Township, died Sunday, October 11, 1998, in Presbyterian Medical Center, Washington, following a lengthy illness.

She was born December 25, 1914, in Morris Township, a daughter of Calvin and Edna Craft Day.
Mrs. Logue was a member of Fairmount United Methodist Church, where she belonged to the United Methodist Women.
She was a 1931 graduate of Morris Township High School and a 1935 graduate of Waynesburg College, where she was a member of the Alpha Kappa Phi sorority.
Mrs. Logue was a schoolteacher at Joint School, Morris Township, from 1935 to 1936, followed by assignments at Pleasant Grove, Sawhill, Rocky, Stony Point and Lagonda schools. From 1960 until her retirement in 1980, she taught at East-West Finley Elementary School in McGuffey School District.
She was a member of Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees, Pennsylvania State Education Association and Stony Point Sewing Circle. She served for several years as East Finley Township tax collector during the 1950s.
She enjoyed quilting, cooking, baking, sewing and gardening.
On August 18, 1938, in Maryland, she married Brady J. Logue, who died October 4, 1994.
Surviving are a son, Donald J. Logue of Prosperity; two daughters, Donna Stout of West Alexander and Mary Jo Spina of Claysville; seven grandchildren, Linda Stout West, Tracy Stout, J.O. Stout, Kathy Logue Bedillion, David Logue, Brian Logue and Jeremy Spina; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are a son, Robert Logue; a brother, George Day; and four sisters, Hazel Andrew, Phoebe Newman, Eleanor Miller and Mary Muir.
