Mary Mahkovic Zubaty, 82, of Blairsville, died Sunday, October 11, 1998, in Latrobe Area Hospital. Mrs. Zubaty was a member of Sts. Simon and Jude Roman Catholic Church, Blairsville. She was a Slovenian polka fan. She was employed as a nurse's aide at Torrance State Hospital prior to her retirement in 1973. Surviving are two sons, John Zubaty of Wingate, N.C., and Ron Zubaty of Washington; a daughter, Janice Stets of Brenizer; five grandchildren, Robert, Laurie, Neal, Leslie and Aaron Zubaty; a brother, Joseph Mahkovic of Irwin; two sisters, Ann Reid of Lorain, Ohio, and Rose Rudy of Amherst, Ohio.
