Robert S. DeLegge, 72, of Carroll Township, died Monday, October 12, 1998, in Mon Valley Hospital. Mr. DeLegge was a retired welder, having worked for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. in Monessen and was an U.S. Navy veteran, having served in World War II. He was Catholic and a member and past president of the former Carroll Township Lions Club. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Esther Goddard DeLegge; three daughters, Gerrie Shire of Monessen, Denise Hallam of Library and Yvonne Chandler of Chalfont; a brother, David DiLegge of Ellicot City, Md.; a sister, Dorothy Coulson of Belle Vernon; and two grandchildren, Robert Grounds and Blake Hallam.
