Helen Marie Agnew, 78, of Donnan Avenue, Washington, died at 3:15 a.m. Thursday, October 15, 1998, in Kade Nursing Home, Washington, following a one-year illness.

Born February 12, 1920, in Washington, she was a daughter of Henry Rhodaback and Florence Perry Rhodaback Ewing.
Mrs. Agnew was a member of Fourth Presbyterian Church, Lincoln Chapter 112 Order of Eastern Star and Bethesda Shrine 25 White Shrine of Jerusalem.
She formerly had been employed by Phillip Moses Store, John's Beauty Shop, Co-Go's and was last employed by A&Z Supply.
On December 24, 1938, she married Edgar Bennett Agnew, who died November 17, 1975.
Surviving are a son, Edgar B. Agnew Jr. of Washington; two daughters, Shirley Ruth Alberta of Washington and Florence Ramsey of Belpre, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Melissa Scharf, Eddie and Amy Agnew, Mark and Kenneth Alberta, Lisa McHenry and Kerry Larimer Harman; and three great-grandchildren.
