Ruth York Morgan, 71, of Willowbrook Lane, Washington, died Wednesday, October 14, 1998, in Presbyterian Medical Center, Washington.

She was born September 17, 1927, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Bryan Eugene and Mary Tilton York.
Mrs. Morgan was a member of First Baptist Church of Washington, where she was chairman of the board of trustees, Sunday school teacher and Bible director.
She was the president of Holiday Construction, Washington.
Mrs. Morgan was a graduate of Washington High School and a 1950 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, earning bachelor of arts degree.
She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, member of the League of Women Voters, the American Association of University Women, Literacy Council, Citizens Library Council and on the Board of Directors of the Washington County Builders Association.
Mrs. Morgan enjoyed gardening and snow skiing.
On December 29, 1951, in Washington, she married, Malcolm L. Morgan, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Dan Morgan of Denton, Texas; three daughters, Susan Morgan of Washington, Sally Scorzetti of Paoli and Nancy Cameron of McMurray; a brother, Don York of Washington; a sister, Florence Wheeler of Lake Mary, Fla.; and 12 grandchildren, Charity, Morgan and Summer Miller, Matthew, Peter and Jay Scorzetti, Tara and Quinn Morgan, Justin, Faith, Joel and Zach Cameron.
