William Albert Aureli, 74, of Torrance, Calif., died Friday, October 16, 1998, in his home. Mr. Aureli lived in Hendersonville for many years and attended Cecil schools. He has resided in California for the past several years. He was retired from North American Rockwell and was an inventor, who sold his inventions to North American Rockwell. Mr. Aureli enjoyed hunting and fishing. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Surviving are three children, Wayne and Janice Aureli and Susan Castillo, all of Torrance; five grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Aureli of Torrance. Deceased are his wife, Lillian Rose Popp; a child, who died at birth; and two sisters, Jean and Eleanore. Burial will be held Tuesday, October 20, in Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood, Calif.
