Domenic Ferralli, 87, of Washington, died 9:50 a.m. Monday, October 19, 1998, in Washington Hospital. He was employed by Washington Tin Plate Co. prior to World War II. Upon his return from military service, he was among the first group of men hired at Washington Steel Corp., from which he retired in 1976 after 29 years of service. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army from April 17, 1942, to December 17, 1945, as a sergeant in Battery D 751st Anti-Aircraft Artillery Gun Battalion in the Western Pacific and as a leader in the gun crew in the Western Carolinas. He was awarded the American Theater Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Ribbon and Victory Medal World War II. Mr. Ferralli was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Washington; Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion; and Italian Sons and Daughters of America Alpine Star Lodge 9. Surviving are four sisters, Angeline F. Costello, Helen C. Bellotti, Vera Jean Piacenza and Jennie M. Ferralli all of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
