Joseph C. Coleman, 81, of Canonsburg, died Thursday, October 15, 1998, in South Hills Convalescent Center. Mr. Coleman was Catholic and lived his entire life in the Muse and Canonsburg areas. He was employed by the former H.C. Frick Coal Co. in Muse and as a winder at the former Pennsylvania Transformer Co. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191, Canonsburg. He was married to Elizabeth DeVitis, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Karen J. Coleman Roner of San Diego, Calif.; one son, Joseph C. Coleman Jr. of Canonsburg; three grandchildren, Ralph A. Roner, Shawne Roner and Joseph Coleman; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family.
