Mary Louise Barnhart, 46, of Deerfield Road, Washington, died at 12:40 p.m. Monday, October 19, 1998, in Washington Hospital. Mrs. Barnhart was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church. She was a schoolteacher who began her career in September 1973 in Trinity School District, first at Wylie Avenue Elementary School then at North Franklin Elementary School. She was teaching at Trinity East Elementary School at the time of her death. Mrs. Barnhart was a 1970 graduate of McGuffey High School and a 1973 graduate of California University of Pennsylvania. A member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association and the National Education Association, Mrs. Barnhart also was a member and past president of the Alpha Delta Kappa sorority for teachers. On July 7, 1979, she married GarryLinn Barnhart, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Richard Allan Barnhart, at home; a daughter, Brittney Ann Barnhart, at home; two brothers, Richard Day Barlow of Washington and Thomas James Barlow of Washington; and six nieces and nephews.
