Ethel Martorana, 94, of Grace Avenue, Canonsburg, died Monday, October 19, 1998, in Horizon Senior Care, Canonsburg. Mrs. Martorana was a member of Venice United Presbyterian Church and a retired school teacher, having taught in Canon-McMillan School District. On June 12, 1925, she married Melchor J. Martorana, who died October 3, 1953. Surviving are two sons, Robert F. Martorana of the state of California and Richard M. Martorana of Canonsburg; two sisters, Amanda McClure of Canonsburg and Jane Vosel of Canonsburg; and three grandchildren. Deceased are two brothers, Edward Phillips and Darlington Phillips; and two sisters, Dorothy Bernardine and Jean Pirillo. Visitation and services were private and held at the convenience of the family. Private burial was in Venice United Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
