Martha G. Meredith, 91, of Washington, formerly of Whitehall, died Wednesday, October 21, 1998, in Presbyterian Medical Center, Washington, following a brief illness. Mrs. Meredith was a graduate of Brownsville High School and attended Grove City College. She was a homemaker, a 50-year member of Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.. On June 15, 1932, in Brownsville, she married Howard P. Meredith Sr., who died March 18, 1981. Surviving are a son, Howard P. Meredith Jr. of Charlotte, N.C.; a daughter, Virginia M. McKelvey of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.; two sisters, Mary G. Thompson of Washington and Ruth G. Werner of Security, Colo.; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a niece and a nephew.
