Elizabeth Victoria Lanigan, 90, of New Eagle, formerly of Marland Heights, Weirton, W.Va., died Thursday, October 22, 1998, in Haven Crest Nursing Home, Monongahela. Mrs. Lanigan formerly resided in Marland Heights in Weirton, W.Va. for 67 years, where she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a former member of Riverview Baptist Church of New Eagle and played violin for the church orchestra prior to moving to Weirton. Mrs. Lanigan was employed for a time playing violin accompaniment for silent movies at Weirton Theater. She also was a self-employed seamstress. Surviving are a son, Clarence W. Lanigan of Weirton; a brother, Wilbur A. James of New Eagle; two grandchildren, Mark and Matt Lanigan; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is her husband, Clarence W. Lanigan; infant son, Herbert Martin Lanigan; two brothers, Norman and Herbert James; and a sister, Barbara James Bindi.
