Lona G. Bise, 88, of Jefferson, died Saturday, October 24, 1998, in Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg. She had lived in the Mather area since 1930. Mrs. Bise was a homemaker and a member of Jefferson United Methodist Church. On August 24, 1929, she married Asa J. Bise, who died February 5, 1972. Surviving are a daughter, Freda Riggle Pyle of Jefferson; three grandchildren, Ernest R. Grimes of Waynesburg R.D.1, Mary Lou McGinnis of McConnellsburg, and Thomas L. Riggle of Clarksville; three stepgrandchildren, William Riggle Jr. of Wheeling, W.Va., Lynda Smith of Jefferson and Kristine Knepp of Waynesburg; eight great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Aberta Savage of Morgantown, W.Va., and Jessie Savage of Friendsville, Md.
