Harriet Boyd Johnson, 83, of Barton, Vt., formerly of Bergenfield, N.J., died Thursday, October 1, 1998, in Barton. Mrs. Johnson was a graduate of Ramsey (N.J.) High School, an art student and a homemaker. Her late husband, George Sigfried Johnson, was originally a resident of Washington. Surviving are two daughters, Signe May Langschultz of Cobbs Creek, Va., and Judith Gibbs of Newport Center, Vt.; and two grandsons, Gregory and Jon Gibbs. Deceased, in addition to her husband, are a sister, Lucille Samuels; and a grandson, Frederick G. Langschultz. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 10, in the chapel at Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Maple Lane Nursing Home, Barton Hill Road, Barton, VT 05822, would be appreciated by the family.
