Frank O. Fearer, 92, formerly of Rogersville, died Monday, October 5, 1998, in Country Club Center Nursing Home in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. Mr. Fearer was a member of Rogersville United Methodist Church. He was employed as a laborer with Republic Steel's Clyde Mine for more than 40 years prior to retiring in 1967. He was a member of United Mine Workers Local 688 and the National Rifle Association. On May 10, 1933, he married Effie Marie Crago, who died August 22, 1985. Surviving are two sons, Ernest D. Fearer of Medina, Ohio, and Ronald L. Fearer of Mt. Vernon; two grandsons, Brian D. and Kevin L. Fearer; a brother, Robert Fearer of Litchfield, Ohio; four sisters, Ardis Headlee of Waynesburg, Ethelyn Mitchell of Akron, Ohio, Esther Sams of Findlay, Ohio, and Delores Cox of Jefferson; and several nieces and nephews. Clyde Mine retiree formerly of Greene County
He was born April 1, 1906, in Listonburg, Somerset County, a son of Arthur and Etta Myrtle McClintock Fearer. He resided in Jefferson and Waynesburg for several years before moving to Rogersville in 1960. He moved to Ohio in May 1998.
