Udoris Gaines Hull Turner, 73, of Waynesburg, died at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday, October 7, 1998, in Franklin Care Center, Waynesburg, after a long illness. Mrs. Turner attended New Freeport Baptist Church and was a former member of New Freeport Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. She was formerly employed by Greenway Manufacturing in Waynesburg and had also owned and operated a craft shop in Donora. On May 9, 1942, she married Austin Hull Jr., who died July 29, 1959. On September 2, 1972, she married John William Turner, who died November 27, 1986. Surviving are two daughters, Jean Wise of New Freeport R.D.1 and Ola Cretta Hull of West Elizabeth; three sons, Jerry L. Hull of West Elizabeth, Robert A. Hull of Sycamore R.D.1 and Ronald Alan Turner of Hurricane, W.Va.; three sisters, Sadie Wright of Sardis, Ohio, Genevieve Richter of Painesville, Ohio, and Betty Moore of Holbrook; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Deceased are three sisters, Cretta Weaver, Ruby Cunningham and Geraldine Smitley; and three brothers, James Kirby and Robert and Archie Gaines. Waynesburg resident owned craft shop in Donora
She was born October 4, 1925, in Doddridge County, W.Va., a daughter of John B. and Temperance Coen Gaines. She had resided in the New Freeport and Donora areas prior to moving to Waynesburg in 1988.
