James A. Soforic, 32, of Canonsburg, died Wednesday, October 7, 1998, in Allegheny University Hospitals-Canonsburg. Mr. Soforic was employed as a Shipping supervisor for Box USA, Eighty Four. He was a member of the A.G.A., the White Eagles and the Labor Temple, all of Canonsburg. He was a sportsman. Mr. Soforic was a 1984 graduate of Southmoreland High School and also from Central Westmoreland Vocational-Technical School. Surviving are his wife of 13 years, Tammy Ament; a daughter, Andrea Soforic, at home; adoptive mother, Emogene Brening Soforic of Tarrs; two brothers, Amos "Bud" Soforic Jr. and Steven Soforic, both of Scottdale; three sisters, Donna Murphy of Mt. Pleasant, Mary Beth Meader of Bear Rocks and Pamela Soforic of Everson; and several nieces and nephews.
