Anne D. Roth, 83, of Amwell Township, Washington, died Sunday, August 30, 1998, in Washington Hospital, after a brief illness. Mrs. Roth was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church of Washington. She attended Meadow Lands schools; worked for Hazel Atlas Glass Co. at the South Main Street plant; and retired from Metro Glass in 1980. She also was an avid gardener. In December 1941, in Washington, she married George "Duke" Roth. Mr. Roth died May 29, 1976. Surviving are a son, Wayne H. Roth of McDonald; a daughter, Mary Ann Tarnasky of West Redding, Conn.; a sister, Dorothy Piecknick of Meadow Lands; five grandchildren, Kristie A. and Karen M. Richardson, David W. Roth, Katherine L. Appleby and Anne M. Tarnasky; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a sister, Margaret Kisella; and a brother, Robert Salat.
