Jane Cavanaugh Gibson, 77, of Washington, formerly of Charleroi, died Monday, September 14, 1998, in Washington Hospital. Mrs. Gibson was a 1939 graduate of Charleroi High School, and in her younger years was a big band singer. She and her husband owned and operated Gibson Photo Centers in Washington and Charleroi for 45 years. Mrs. Gibson was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Washington. She was a member of the Ladies of the Elks, where she served as its former secretary, and was a member of the ladies auxiliary of American Legion Post 175, Washington. On November 27, 1947, she married Robert F. Gibson, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Robert F. Gibson Jr. of Charlotte, N.C.; and three grandchildren, Robert, Katie and Erin Gibson. Deceased are a brother, Joseph Cavanaugh; and four sisters, Helen and Mary Cavanaugh, Grace Boyle and Virginia Paterra.
