John William "Bud" Morris Jr., 77, of Scenic Drive, Daisytown, died at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, September 15, 1998, at his home. Mr. Morris was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Coal Center. He was a retired steelworker from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Monessen, and a member of United Steelworkers of America. Mr. Morris was a graduate of California High School and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Navy from July 4, 1942, through October 4, 1945. On June 20, 1944, he married Helen "Peggy" Lois Dickinson, who survives. Also surviving are a son, John W. Morris III of Daisytown; three daughters, Lois Jean Malmgren of Blairsville, Sandra Lee Fousek of Canonsburg and Gay Lynn Downes of Daisytown; seven grandchildren, Jenna, Brandi, Jasmine, Shelby, Shane, Alyssa and Samantha; and a brother, Melvin G.
