Robert J. Anderson, 76, of Peters Township, died Thursday, September 17, 1998, in Allegheny University Hospitals-Canonsburg. Mr. Anderson was an engineer who formerly was employed with U.S. Steel Corp., Ingersol-Rand and Westinghouse AEG (Adtranz). He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, serving in North Africa and Italy from 1942-45. Mr. Anderson's interests included ship-modeling, collecting stamps and coins, reading and automotive mechanics. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Bezy Anderson; a brother, Walter E. Anderson of Rochester, N.Y.; and a sister, Doris Anderson Crusan of North Strabane Township. There will be no visitation. Private interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, D.C.
