I. Willits McCaskey

Former Peters Township supervisor
I. Willits McCaskey, 91, of Hays Road, Upper St. Clair, died Wednesday, June 3, 1998, at his home.

Mr. McCaskey served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He returned to Allegheny County to pursue his legal career after the war.
Mr. McCaskey was a graduate of Lawrenceville School, Princeton University and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
Active in the community, he was a Peters Township supervisor and secretary of Greater Canonsburg Industrial Development Corp., which was responsible for bringing to the area multiple industries, resulting in the employment of several hundred workers in Washington County. He has been honored for efforts in the development of Peters Township Tennis Center.
Mr. McCaskey was a member of the Allegheny County and Pennsylvania bar associations.
He enjoyed tennis and was a horseman.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are his wife, Virginia H. Hartsom; two sisters; and two brothers.
Interment of his ashes will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 19, in Homewood Cemetery, Pittsburgh. The family suggests, memorial contributions be made to the Washington County Humane Society or a charity of choice.
