Valeria J. "Vee" Mathues, 85, of Donora, died Thursday, September 17, 1998, in the home of her daughter, Mary Jane Comella of Louisville, Ky., following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Mathues was a member of St. Charles Church of Donora, St. Charles Altar Society, C.D.A., A.O.H. and Donora Fire Department Auxiliary. On November 25, 1937, she married Theodore F. Mathues, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Theodore P. Mathues of Shelbyville, Ind.; a daughter, Mary Jane Comella of Louisville, Ky.; four grandchildren, Ted Robert Mathues, James M. Mathues and Dennis and David Comella. Deceased are four brothers, Philip, Regis, Austin and Robert Ley; and two sisters, Mary Jane Ley and Ruth Doyle.
