Selma G. Mavin, 82, of Greensboro R.D.1, died at 7:30 p.m. Friday, September 18, 1998, at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg. Mrs. Mavin was a 1934 graduate of Mapletown High School, a member of Greensboro Presbyterian Church and a former member of the former Dunkard Valley Business Professional Women's Association. On May 18, 1939, she married Robert C. Mavin, who died March 25, 1979. Mr. and Mrs. Mavin owned and operated the Ice Plant and Custard Stand in Greensboro for many years. Surviving are two daughters, Marguerite (Peggy) Marquis of Greensboro R.D.1 and Arcie M. Luzier of Indiana; four grandchildren, Aaron and Jennifer Luzier and Robert and Laura Marquis; a brother, Edgar R. Gabler of Rices Landing; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased, in addition to her husband, are three brothers, Raymond T., Charles A. and Herbert Gabler; and a sister, Marion McCombs.
